A while ago I saw a picture of Emma Watson giving a speech as part of her job as a UN Women Ambassador. I decided that if I want to be as cool as Emma Watson and/or take over the world, I should learn how to give speeches. I joined a public speaking club called Toastmasters International.
My first speech will be an icebreaker for the group. I performed monologues in school. I don't know if that will help my speech-giving, or hinder it, but that's the nice thing about being a part of the club. Someone will critique me, and my speaking and writing should improve. I will post my speeches as I write them (you know, in case someone at TED likes my stuff).
In the mean time, keep writing poetry, and maybe enter a few contests as well. If you'd like something you wrote to appear on my blog, send them to me in an email!
