I'm reading cues, decoding actions, time
Spent in pleasing you, and anguishing where
Knowledge served me not at all, when keenly
Knew the truth did I, you read my cues too.
I lost no time but changed my ways for us
How can you treat me the way I deserve
When all I have shown you is how I can serve?
I take my lessons from the rosebush now,
She shines brilliantly through sun and through sleet.
Though you ne'er adore me, queen that I am,
Like a rosebush I shower my own feet.
